Useful information
Our units are designed to reduce the installation time. The indoor and outdoor units are pre-gassed and sealed and they come with a pre-flared pipekit enabling the qualified fitter to install them easily. The indoor units should be fitted to the wall using the mounting plate supplied in the box. The condenser should be fixed on the ground or wall-mounted on the outside of the wall with the optional wall-mounting bracket. The unit is supplied with a 5-metre copper pipe that will reduce the need to purchase additional parts. It is also supplied with an electrical cable.
The unit must be installed by a F-Gas qualified AC engineer. Please ensure the qualified fitter reads the user manual in full before installing. These units contain a gas governed by F-Gas regulations. The gas must be handled by qualified F-Gas personnel. 2-year warranty is subject to commissioning by qualified F-Gas engineers. A 5-year extended parts warranty is subject to annual service. Further information on the requirements and ensuring the engineer is qualified can be found at Government Guidance.
Note: To reduce the Global Warming Potential, the outdoor unit footprint and provide extra energy savings; our outdoor units have a rating lower than the sum of indoor units BTU. Please note this will not affect the cooling or heating in individual rooms as those units are variable cooling inverters and they balance the cooling or heating power among the indoor units to achieve the target temperature in the shortest time. Hi, This 9000 BTU iQool heat pump doesn’t use a fixed amount of electricity — it varies depending on demand. In normal UK winter use, you can typically expect around 3–6 kWh per day per unit, depending on room size, insulation, and outside temperature. It’s designed to be much more efficient than standard electric heaters because it only uses the power needed to maintain the set temperature.

Hi Max,The 5 metres of hose is per indoor unit, not shared between them, so each unit has its own separate connection to the outdoor unit and can use up to 5 metres of pipe run.Thanks!

Hi,You can’t add more indoor units to that 2-unit electriQ multi-split system later because the outdoor unit is only designed to support two indoor units, so if you think you might want more rooms in the future, you would need either a larger multi-split system with extra capacity from the start or a separate additional system rather than expanding this one.Thanks!

Hi, The manual covers the physical installation (unit mounting and pipe routing), but it does not remove the need for F-Gas compliance; because this is a split multi-split system using R32 refrigerant, the final connection, vacuuming, leak testing, and commissioning must be completed by an F-Gas certified engineer in the UK, so while it is installer-friendly with pipe kits included, it is not a DIY-commissionable system.

Hi Kiera,The TCL iQool 2MS9K9K multi-split air conditioning system operates on a standard single-phase AC supply of 220-240 V, 50 Hz. Although the manufacturer’s documentation does not specify the exact current draw, it can be reasonably estimated based on comparable multi-split systems. Each indoor unit is expected to require a 13 A fused connection, which is typical for a 9000 BTU unit, while the central outdoor unit should have a dedicated 32 A supply to safely handle the total system load.Thanks!
