Unfortunately we can only sell our recovery discs at time of purchase with the laptop as we need this to create the disc. Acer will charge £51 as they have other means to create the disc which we cannot do.

Recovery discs are NOT included in the price of the laptops as this is an optional service provided by the retailer. The recovery discs can be self created as all the drivers are present on the unit. Laptops now also do NOT come with an operating system disc as this is pre installed.

I have managed to get my serial number - LXARU0X249852064951601, as instructed i went to the Maintance but there I didnt saw the option of Create System Disc, i have never created a System Restore Point, Can you please tell me how to get all the factory settings , how to create a acer recovery disk.

If you call us with the model number, we can check if we have the recovery disc for your model as they are specific to each laptop. The recovery will wipe everything on there and return it to how it was when you first bought the laptop.

The recovery dvd is an option for if you ever need to restore the laptop back to factory settings in the future

The recovery disc will wipe the netbook clean and start again so getting rid of the malware.

You could use the same disc for both laptops although I would recommend having 2 copies of the disc so you have a backup

if we have the model in stock then yes as we need the laptop to take the disc from. If not Acer should be able to find one for you.

If we have the model in stock then yes, the disc needs to be made from the same machine. If we don't have it in stock then check with Acer, they might be able to help.

It will work as long as we have the recovery disc for your particular model. You'll need to give us a call with the part code of the laptop and we'll check that for you.

The recovery dvds are relevant to the model number so any disc can be used with any of the laptops you purchased

Some do, some don't. Its all a bit random. We'd usually recommend buying one with the laptop just in case. It can save a lot of money and time later on.

You can burn a disc yourself and as long as we have the laptop in stock, we should be able to burn one for you after the fact if needed.

I my self turned off the laptop yesterday night and when I turned it back on and it tried to start up and got the green Microsoft vista progress bar for a few seconds,

then a blue screen flashed up ... and the Laptop suddenly restarted.

If i try to boot into safe mode it freezes while it lists the drivers its loading.

I put in the recovery disk (Which was Given By SONY) , choose the language and click on Repair Windows.
The next dialog box is called System Recovery Options.

I have selected the C drive and then click next.. After few seconds a pop up came stating system will try to restore previous settings .... on clicking RESTORE ....

I can see a window which shows amp;quot; Attempting to Fix Errors ..... and the status bar is going on and going on from past 6 hours ......

Can you tell me whether this Product will solve my above problem ??????

If you have already had a recovery disc from sony and it didn't work, I don't think another will help. It sounds like it needs looking at so I'd get hold of sony again.

These discs are intended to restore the laptop software to an as-new condition. In this case, that is restoring back to the Vista OS. XP driver support for the 5920G is available from Acer at acer.co.uk

It must be bought with the laptop at the same time unfortunately. It is made up for each laptop individually so you only get the recovery settings for the laptop you bought it with.

You dont need this product, but it will save you having to create the disc yourself if you wish to do so, the restore data is usually on a separate hard drive partition.
