Question from Tom Grant: Asked on 27/05/2009 I am still in full time education but need a copy of Windows Server 2008 for use on one server with one user. Will the licensing option on this product be suitable for me as I want to ensure I am purchasing the right software. The thought of paying£400+ as well as the server is putting me off.

Hi Tom,
The product code that you have specified here is for a Client Access License. This is not a Windows Server license. Also, the educational licences are for purchase by educational establishments rather than the students themselves.
The only way to do this is to buy the Windows Server license or the OEM package with 5 CALs
