27-Mar-2007 Lex: Is this only available for new laptops or is it available for older Acer laptops bought from yourselves?

Easycom: When this is registered to a laptop with Acer, the laptop must have been purchsed within the last 90 days, with a receipt or invoice to prove it. The laptop doesnt have to have been bought from us though, Acer will cover you no matter who you bought it from.

27-Mar-2007 chris: Is the screen covered with this warranty or is there an excess payable?

Easycom: The screen is cover by this extended warranty however there is an excess on screen damages of 100 Euros +IVA.

Easycom: This warranty does not come with a bag or a mouse. The deal with the bag and mouse is code P1.1239X.U01.

3-May-2007 vamps: what happens if the computer is unrepairable/old stock badly damaged? Does the warranty cover replacement of the product with new stock

Easycom: If the laptop can not be repaired than the model will be replaced.

13-Aug-2007 AJ: If i am traveling in the USA or Australia and laptop is damaged is it still covered? would I have to bring it back into the EU before I could make a claim and have it repaired? (i.e. if i was traveling for an extended amount of time and not plaing to re-enter the EU for several months)

Easycom: The warranty is UK European serviced so you would need to repatriate the laptop to get a warranty service carried out.

25-Oct-2007 PGJ: Is there a maximum cost of repair that the warranty covers?

Easycom: No. This covers all repairs unless deemed irrepairable in which case they will replace the unit with a brand new one.

7-Sep-2007 Hk: My laptop was bought from PC retailer 5 months ago. Can I use this warranty package to upgrade accidental damage + parts and labour.

Easycom: This is a Europe wide warranty and so will not cover America.
